All our key tags operate standard HPM Brand electrical switches for the hospitality industry, allowing you to conserve energy and reduce your electricity costs.
The switches are operated by inserting the key tag in a pocket on the front of the switch.
Use Clench Rings, instead of key rings, to attach the key when using the key tags in power switches. Clench Rings help prevent guests removing the key and leaving the tag in the switch, so there is less chance of power being used unnecessarily. The clench rings are made from 2.0mm diameter nickel plated steel and are closed with pliers. 5 cents + GST extra when ordered with key tags. 10 cents + GST as a loose item.

HPM Catalogue Code XL770KT or 770KT series. They’re available with many switch, neon and colour combinations to suit your requirements.
Of course, you can use our key tags without these switches being installed, but we do recommend them as a way to reduce electricity usage while your guests are absent from their room. They are easily installed by your electrician. Or call HPM for more details on 1300 369 777.
